Our Programs
Common Ground Community offers programs for children, adults, and families in the Cedar Grove area, attending to physical, educational, and spiritual needs
Thursday Night meals
Thursday nights are for nourishment: mind, body, and soul. We host a 5 p.m. chapel service and a 5:30 p.m. meal, during which our friends can access the Community Choice Market.
Children & youth
We support the youth in our neighborhood through after-school and summer programs that provide a positive environment to play, build friendships, and access academic support.
Adults MinistrY
Our Wonderous Wednesday group meets at 2p.m. most Wednesdays. They play games, go on field trips, make crafts and have a great time socializing. Every other week, the group meets in the computer lab for classes on computers and smart phones!
Community Choice Pantry
Also during our Thursday night meal, with the help of personal shoppers, our neighborhood friends “shop” for grocery items to help them make it through the week. This approach gives dignity, choice and joy to our friends in Cedar Grove.
Family Literacy
The vast majority of the children are far behind when they enter our local elementary school, and many never catch up. Through our Learning Bus, reading fairs, and Mommy & Me programs, we are working to address this critical need.
